It was a cloudy morning with a light drizzle when we made our way towards the Polynesian Resort for the 'Ohana Best Friends Polynesian Character Breakfast. Arriving on the monorail from the Magic Kingdom, we found ourselves dropped into the atmosphere of a South Seas resort. 前hana can be found in a back corner of the Polynesian痴 lobby and was already busy when we arrived at 9 AM. We caught glimpses of Lilo and Mickey as we waited in the lobby for our table to be called. We entertained ourselves by watching families having their pictures taken by the Disney photographer who is in the lobby for anyone who wants a picture taken with an 前hana backdrop.

After a few minutes, we were taken to a table close to windows which looked out over the Seven Seas Lagoon and the rest of the Magic Kingdom resorts. A bread basket and fruit plate was waiting for us when we sat down. The fruit plate was full of fresh pineapple, melons and grapes and the bread basket was, for a bread lover like me, to die for. You must try the pineapple sticky bread if you eat at 前hana for breakfast. It is by far my favorite bread served anywhere on property that I have eaten at and is such an unique bread. My aunt also loved it and we took any extra we had back to our room for a snack later. The basket also has regular biscuits as well as cinnamon bread drizzled with icing. Our server was a sweetheart who got us our drinks right away and brought our breakfast platter quickly to the table. 前hana is a family-style breakfast which is also all you can eat. The breakfast platter is heaped with scrambled eggs, Mickey waffles, home fries, bacon and sausage, all of it fresh and still steaming from the kitchen. The eggs were delicious as were the waffles. I adore the home fries here as they are tossed with onions and just a little spice to add something extra. The bacon was crisp and hot and the sausage was delicious though a little more on the spicy side than I was use to but still excellent. Needless to say, we had several platters delivered to our table, as well as another bread basket throughout the course of the meal. Our server kept our drinks full and was willing to fulfill any request we had.

前hana is, of course, a character breakfast with Stitch and Mickey circling the dining room and Lilo greeting people near the lobby. Stitch, Lilo and Mickey also lead a parade of the children through the whole dining room several times while we were there. The kids were all given musical instruments and followed Mickey, Lilo and Stitch around the room. I saw lots of parents getting great pictures of their kids playing with Mickey, Lilo and Stitch during the parade. Make sure that if one of your party is celebrating a special event like a birthday, an anniversary, or like my sister her high school graduation, that you tell a cast member, that person will be given a lei to wear and receives special attention when the characters come around to the table to visit. We saw Mickey very quickly after we were seated but we had to wait a little after we had already paid to see Stitch. It is a big dining area and the characters take their time at each table so just remember to be patient. Stitch being my personal favorite, I wasn稚 leaving without a picture with him. On our way out, we got our picture taken with Lilo who was more than willing to have her picture taken with each of us and even made me have my picture taken with her after I had tried to let a little girl go ahead instead. 前hana certainly lives up to its name as a place for family. I saw many big family groups having breakfast and enjoying a quiet morning together with good food and excellent hosts in Mickey, Lilo and Stitch.
