The PS Planning Guide would like to thank Brian Sullivan (Brisully on the DIS) for photos of his WDW Fishing experiences.

Finding Nemo?

Not quite! First of all Nemo is a clown fish and lives in an ocean of salt water. BUT...if you are looking for some of the best Large Mouth Bass (LMB for short) fishing in Florida, Walt Disney World's waterways and lakes are stocked full of them. If you've never caught an LMB before, you're in for a treat. Largemouths are some of the most acrobatic and lively fish in fresh water.

As in all things at WDW, fishing is a little different. You don't have to bring any fishing equipment. It's all supplied for you right down to your rod, reel, and lures (live bait is available for an extra cost) plus you have a WDW Fishing Guide who operates the boat and gets you to the best fishing spots. For some excursions, a snack and beverage is on hand. All fishing is catch and release giving other anglers a chance to get the BIG ONE after you.

Fishing excursions run early in the morning around 7 AM, late mornings around 9 AM or 11 AM and afternoons around 1 PM and are limited to a maximum of 5 guests per boat. The early morning trips give guests a different look at WDW resorts and parks as well as great fishing and Florida wildlife viewing opportunities.

Walt Disney World Fishing Excursions are PS events and can be booked up to 60 days in advance by calling (407) 939-7529. Please note this is a different number than for Dining. Each fishing excursion is about 2 hours long but extra hours can be added. Pricing varies depending on the location, party size and type of excursion. For a complete rundown, check out AllEarsNet's Fishing Page.
