L'Originale Alfredo di Roma Ristorante, or simply Alfredo's, is Italy's gift to Epcot guests.

I had the pleasure of dining at Alfredo's with a table full of other Internet WDW fans last year. This means my experience probably wasn't typical of any average family of four. It did show Alfredo's wonderful atmosphere what with waiters arguing with the head waiter, manager and even us. In the end, all was for us, the customer, and all our needs were fullfilled in abundance.

Before I get to the food, Alfredo's large dining areas are decorated with tromp l'oeil paintings, which means "trick the eye", since they are life-size murals depicting walls with open doors and windows looking out onto a beautiful Italian landscape! You are totally removed from Epcot as you look out on various vistas and scenes. I found it very relaxing after a long day walking through Epcot.

Okay, okay, on to the food! We shared our appetizer of Calamari fritti with the table. It was very good. My wife had the restaurant's tradmark dish, Le Originali Fettuccine Al'Alfredo which uses fresh pasta made right in Alfredo's. I settled on Vitello alla Minanese con Arugola which is a veal dish with tomatos and arugola on top. I also got a side dish of pasta and sauce.

For dessert I had...no room for it! However, the picture to the right shows one of the Disney kids in our group enjoying a "ladybug" dessert. I believe on the menu it's called Cannoli.

Again, I found Alfredo's a very relaxing place and an excellent way to enjoy a meal with friends and family. You can make your PS at Alfredo's up to 180 days in advance.
